Navdanya Group, an ISO 9001:2000 certified company is a leading name in the rice processing industry, situated in Bargarh and Sonepur Districts of Odisha. The company is into processing of paddy. The factory is built over an area of 12,000 square meters, with a net worth of over $3 million. The company has an annual processing capacity of 1,20,000MT of paddy and 6,000MT of Rice Husk Ash based products. Has experience of over three decades in rice milling. He is a Gold medalist in B.Tech from REC, Rourkela, one of the premier engineering colleges in the region. He was one of the earliest entrants into the rice milling industry and remains a well-known and respected figure in the industry and the community. He continues to be the foundation of the company.
Shyam Kansal
Managing Director
Has over two decades of experience in rice milling. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata, one of the leading management colleges in the country. He is the visionary leader who has led the company from the front in making bold decisions. Instrumental in introducing many new technologies not only for the company but also for the industry and region as a whole, he has set new benchmarks and is highly regarded for his technological knowledge and business acumen.
Narayan Kansal
Director
He completed his Post-Graduation at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor USA. He joined the family business of rice milling in 2010 after gaining extensive experience in the information technology field. He has been instrumental in implementing ICT for better management and has been leading the government arm of our business. In 2020, he has also completed his Executive MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur. He serves as the administrative head and powerhouse of the company.
Niraj Kansal

He earned his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad, one of the leading institutes for Entrepreneurship in Asia. A serial entrepreneur, he has ventured into diverse fields such as financial services, oil & gas, and industrial supplies, alongside rice milling. He spearheads the development of new products and markets for the company.

Non-Basmati Rice
We process different varieties of Rice like Single-Boiled, Double-Boiled, Puffed and Steam Rice. We are the market leader in each segment of the market we operate in. We enjoy such strong goodwill and demand in the market that our whole production is sold out within a hundred kilometres of our factory.
Fully Boiled Rice
Fully Boiled Rice, also known as parboiled rice, is a unique variety of rice that undergoes a special processing technique before milling. This process involves soaking, steaming, and drying the rice grains while still in their husks, resulting in a nutritious and flavorful product. Unlike traditional white rice, fully boiled rice retains more nutrients, including vitamins and minerals, making it a healthier choice. With its distinct texture and rich taste, fully boiled rice is ideal for a wide range of culinary applications, from everyday meals to festive feasts.
Parboiled/Partially Boiled Rice
Parboiled or partially boiled rice undergoes a similar processing technique to fully boiled rice but with slight variations. In this process, the rice grains are partially boiled before milling, preserving some of the nutrients found in the outer layers of the grain. This results in rice that is firmer and less sticky than fully boiled rice, with a nuttier flavor and enhanced nutritional profile. Perboiled rice is a versatile option suitable for various dishes, including pilafs, stir-fries, and salads, adding a wholesome touch to every meal.

- Paddy Husk: Suitable for various applications such as animal bedding, biofuel production, and composting
- Bran: Rich in nutrients, bran can be used in animal feed, as a dietary supplement, or in food processing
- Rejected Rice: Despite meticulous processing, a small percentage of rice may not meet our stringent quality standards and is offered for specialized uses
- Rice Broken: Broken rice grains are ideal for culinary purposes and food processing applications, offering versatility and value
